The FMA PCI comprises the six Indian Provinces of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians forming the Provincial Conference of India (PCI). The Six Provincials of the Indian Provinces together with their delegates (who are chosen every year) are the members who meet once a year for 3- 4 days. Usually a Visiting Councillor or a representative of Mother General presides over the meeting. For a term of two years the Provincials take up the turn to be the Coordinator of the Meet and convokes the meeting. A special focus at this meeting is the theme of the General Chapter, which generally takes place once in six years. Topics related to the General Chapter are dwelt upon in depth during the six years. The common and important needs of the Provinces are dealt with and deliberations taken to help each Sister live and rewrite the charism of the Founders in India today. The sharing at the meetings and General Assembly are rich in content to spur us on the Don Bosco and Mother Mazzarello way. The main objective is Unity in Diversity revealing the Salesian Indian Face in an International Congregation.
A common logo has been designed for the FMA PCI, it speaks of our working in Unity in the footsteps of our Founders Don Bosco and Mother Mazzarello. The lotus is a symbol of youthful India and the colours of the flag reveal our dedication to our motherland India.
