“May the message of Mercy reach everyone, and no one be indifferent to the call to experience Mercy” –Pope Francis

The Provincial team members -11 sisters and 4 lay collaborators gathered together on 03.01.2016 at 9.30a.m. at Auxilium Home, Katpadi in the leadership of our Dear Mother Provincial Sr.Magnificat Soosai. The General Coordinator, Sr.Josephine Rani Susai coordinated the day. Sr.Iraudhaya Mary Francis through a creative prayer service on the Merciful Father and made us enter in to the teamwork. Sr.Josephine Rani welcomed Mother Provincial, Sr.Michael Cruz Antony, the animator of the hosting community and all the team mem

Through a short story of two friends, she motivated the members to write the hurts on the sand where the winds of forgiveness and mercy may wipe them away and to engrave the blessings on a rock where no winds can ever erase them. She then presented to us the day’s work and invited Mother Provincial to inspire us with her talk. Mother Provincial in her introductory talk thanked and congratulated the team members for their availability in animating their own sectors responsibly. Basing herself on the liturgy of the day she spoke to us of the Magi who were guided by the star in the sky, and adored the Saviour in a manger. She exhorted the members of the team to be the shining stars in the sectors and lead others responsibily and also offer collaboration in the team work for the growth of our Province.

“With Jesus, we journey together in an adventure of the Spirit” is the Strenna of the Rector Major, Rev.Fr.Angel Fernandez Artime Sdb, for the year 2016. It was explained to us by Sr.Christina Anto. Her creative presentation helped us to delve deeDSC_0003p in to the message of our beloved father – Rector Major. The 2nd session was on an interesting topic of the U.N.O theme of 2016, “The International year of Pulses”. Mrs.Victoria, t
he teacher of St.Mary’s Higher Secondary school and a lay collaborator in the team, presented it using the multi media applications. It was very innovative and she presented clearly what are pulses, the aim of the celebration of the year of Pulses, the health benefits and the contribution for sustainable development. We then had a short break and the photo session. The 3rd session was animated by Sr.Arockia Sujatha on Holy Father, Pope Francis’ message for the 49th World day of Peace: “Overcome Indifference to win Peace”. If I am interested in the welfare of the society and the world, how can I be indifferent to God, my neighbour and nature? She creatively presented it remaining faithful to the message of Pope Francis.

After the lunch, the afternoon session began, by imploring the presence of the Holy Spirit. All of us worked toDSC00821gether to form the back drop theme, questions for group discussion, Time table and the resource persons to animate the educating community meet to be held at Zonal level on 30th January. Mother Provincial concluded again by thanking each one for the service done to animate the whole province. After some reminders given to the Team members by the General Coordinator, Sr.Josephine Rani, a vote of thanks was proposed by Sr.Suganthi Anthonyswamy. We then paused for a while to pray for the repose of Fr.John Peter Sathiyaraj sdb, the former Provincial who passed away on 02.01.2016. With a thanks giving Hymn, the meeting came to an end. Along with a key chain, Mother Provincial presented to each member a copy of the document “Misericordiae Vultus”. We went back to the communities and families with the renewed enthusiasm to reveal the merciful face of the Father to the world.
