Sad demise of Sr. Bernadette Sangma FMA

sangamaRIP Sr. Bernadette Sangma: We deeply regret the sad demise of Sr. Bernadette Sangma FMA, a great mind of FMA INDIA. We prayed to God for her and waited for a miracle. Our community of Mazzarello Youth Centre Wadala, Mumbai (INB) prayed every night as a community for healing and wholeness for our dear Sister, but God thought differently and chose a better place for her to abode – in His Heavenly Home. We are proud of Sr. Bernadette Sangma. May her soul rest in peace.

A very happy Feast Day dear Mother Yvonne. Joining the province of Bolivia in the La Madre 3celebration of the World Gratitude Day 2015. Thank you dear Mother for your love, service and dedication in the Institute. Congratulations for your golden years of fidelity to the Lord in the Salesian Charism. Wishing you God’s blessings and assuring you of our prayers for your important mission of animating and guiding the Institute.


Glad to present this presentation  of PCI FMA INDIA, representing the six FMA Provinces of INDIA. This is prepared for the World Gratitude Day 2015.

Let us unite our Sisters in Bolivia and the entire FMA World to thank God for La Madre as we celebrate the World Gratitude Day 2015. We assure Mother Yvonne our prayers and good wishes from all the FMAs of the Indian Provinces, Educating Community and the Young people. God bless our Mother General.




New Presence at Dholai

The Salesian Sisters of Shillong Province has spread its wings to another presence in the Cachar district of Assam in a place called Dholai. April 9, saw its humble inauguration with Sr. Manoda Sangma and Sr. Eugenia Bareh as its pioneering members. The presence of many of our Sisters from the nearby communities and from Shillong have brought much joy and encouragement to the pioneers as well as for the people of the area.

Sr. Marvella Shangpliang the Vice Provincial inaugurated the centre in the presence of the Parish Priest Fr. Joachim Walder and some  Salesians from the nearby institutions. The students and parents too were present for the inaugural function. At present the two Sisters stay at the nearest community called Kabuganj near Silchar. The people of the village warmly welcomed the Sisters and expressed their gratitude to them for this new venture in the village. They were confident that the Sisters would bring integral education to their children and the generations to come.

Dholai is a Village in Narsingpur Tehsil in Cachar District of Assam State, India. It is located 29 KM towards South from District head quarters Silchar. 22 KM from Narsingpur. 235 KM from State capital Dispur.
